Huntington Beach Pier : The Huntington Beach Pier is located at main and pacific coast highway in Huntington beach. CA (USA) -- dubbed Surf City. The original pier built in 1914 and placed on the Federal Register of Historic Places in 1989. The pier was rebuilt and opened in July of 1992. The pier rests on 312 piles and is about 1,856 foot (approx. 565m) long pier.The pier holds many events including the US Open of Surfing in mid July of every year. San Diego Wild Animal Park Lion Camp Photos : Lion Camp is an exhibit at the Wild Animal Park. Opened October 2004, this 1-acre (0.4-hectare) naturalistic exhibit immerses visitors within the lion pride’s territory. An observation station built into the crevice of a kopje, or rock outcropping, provides a place where the lion pride might nestle among the boulders. The kopje is a popular lion lounging spot on cool days because heated rocks are near the window; on warm days, the rocks are a cool place to rest while thorny acacia trees provide shade for the big cats. The lions are separated from visitors by a laminated, tempered glass panel 40 feet (12 meters) long, giving the exhibit a unique feeling of being in an African savanna. 35th Toyota Grand Prix : The Toyota Grand Prix of Long beach started in 1975 and draws about 200,000 fans. It started as a formula 5000 low cost open-wheel racing cars. It is not a course race, but a street race held in long beach, ca. It is about 2miles 11 turns circuit. The circuit is build around Long Beach convention center near the marina and Queen Mary. Many racing legends have been the winners at the Grand Prix of Long Beach. Including Mario Andretti and Niki Lauda. The first F500 winner was Brian Redman. This years celebrity includes Keanu Reeves, in the 35th annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach’s Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. This is a 10-lap race for charity will be held on April 19 at the same closed 1.97-mile street circuit in downtown Long Beach, Calif.. Other celebrities are to confirmed shortly as we are just three weeks of the race. 50D vs 40D ISO3200 Comparison : A comparions of Canon's dSLRs 50D and 40D. Both cameras using same lens (EF-28mm f/1.8) and a custom white balance using Expodisc. The postporcessing as done in Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Adobe Camera Raw 5.4. The noise reduction applied was 50 for both color and luminance channels. The USM was 300/0.6/0 and minor exposure corrections.

Crystal Cathedral : The Crystal Cathedral spans a full 415-feet in length, 207-feet in width and 128-feet in height. The size of the Cathedral is enhanced by the all-glass covering that encloses the entire building. More than 10,000 windows of tempered, silver-colored glass are held in place by a lace-like frame of white steel trusses. These 16,000 trusses were specifically fabricated for this engineering feat. The sanctuary seats 2,736 persons including 1,761 seats on the main floor, 346 seats in the East and West Balconies, and 283 in the South Balcony. On the tenth anniversary of the Cathedral, celebrated on September 16, 1990, a beautiful 236-foot Bell Tower was dedicated. One of Orange County's tallest structures, the tower is comprised of highly polished, mirrored quality, stainless steel prisms forming a spectacular spire which catches the light from all directions. This Philip Johnson-designed completion of the Crystal Cathedral houses a 52-bell carillon named in honor of Dr. Schuller's wife, Arvella Schuller. At the base of the structure is an intimate prayer chapel named the Mary Hood Chapel. Inscribed above the marble walls of the chapel are the words "My House Shall Be Called A House of Prayer For All People."
